Tour de la Gloria: The tour of la Gloria begins at the northernmost point of Hermosa Beach where we access the trail to ascend into the rainforest where riders can take in the beautiful view of the Nicoya Peninsula and the Pacific Coast.

Tour de Bijagual: the tour of Bijagual begins in the mountains directly behind Jaco, continues by Cataratas del Zorro (Zorro Waterfall). There’s a short stop at Mirador Fila Negra (viewpoint) and refreshments at Marta’s Restaurant.

El Gran tour de los Siete Pueblos: Our first stop is at Cataratas del Zorro (Zorro Waterfall), then we continue to Mirador Fila Negra (viewpoint located at an elevation of 3000 ft) with breathtaking panoramic views of Jaco, Playa Hermosa & Herradura. Lunch at Mata de Platano alongside the Tulin River after we pass by La Gloria Waterfalls.

After a short video presentation, guests will be divided into smaller groups, some will proceed directly to the boarding station for the Tram Ride, and others will start the 45-minute walk with a naturalist guide. On our trails you can appreciate the heart of the rainforest where there is an abundance of plant and animal species. From these trails we perceive the forest in a different way; we have more time to take pictures, search for wildlife or stop in a specific spot and look around us. Our trails and the Aerial Tram ride are an excellent combination to get to know and appreciate the rainforest from the ground to the treetops.

Resume travel to the dock where you will board the catamaran. Enjoy drinks and tropical fruits as you are served by the crew on your relaxing, 75-minute trip to Tortuga Island. There is a bar, two deck pools, and two nets (to sunbathe over the water) for your enjoyment. Arrive at the beach and take an optional snorkeling tour while the crew sets up. Return for a delicious lunch which includes an appetizer, a salad bar, an entrée, and dessert. Play on the beach or rent a water vehicle. After two hours of relaxation, the boat will return to take an alternate and more scenic route home.

We have rolling hills, pastureland, many deep jungles, several mountains with panoramic ocean views, and a river. You will see monkeys, toucans, and scarlet macaws. You will see several waterfalls that cascade into the ocean.
Because our farm is so big, we have many different trails and can pick out the ones that best suit your needs and interests. We are a safety conscious establishment, specializing in groups that have little or no experience. We are licensed and insured. We include basic training and have helmets if required.

In route towards to the volcano you will past by La Fortuna the closets town to the volcano where in a cleared day you will have the opportunity to admired the majestic colossus. Costa Rica most active volcano periodically erupts, rumbling as it sends clouds of smoke and ash into the sky. Witness the spectacle of the volcano at night, watching the red lava snake down the Mountain and illuminating the sky like a magnificent display of fireworks. As you travel by coach your naturalist guide will narrate describing the history, agriculture, and other interesting facts about the country and its culture. Along the way, you will see many plantations raising crops such as coffee, sugar cane, and common tropical house plants. You will also see mesmerizing waterfalls, cloud forest, rivers, picturesque villages; you will take a brief stop for lunch in the quaint town of La Fortuna, nestled just below the Arenal Volcano. In addition to viewing the majesty and beauty of the erupting volcano, Costa Rica Nature Journeys will take you to explore the rainforest canopy on THE HANGING BRIDGES. This is a 3 hour easy-moderate level hike through the tree-tops on bridges suspended 150 ft above forest floor. Dinner will follow your hot springs visit on your way home.

A half day journey through 3 trail systems, all on an easy level of hiking, offering a variety of flora which in some cases the trees reach over 45 meters (150 ft). The 14,000 acres of national park hosts one of the most diverse ecosystems in Costa Rica and if you are into birding, it is a must! Carara is home to the second largest population of Scarlet Macaws in the country. This can make for an exciting nature hike, with your expert naturalist guide leading your way safely through the forest and opening the possibilities to view a large variety of rain forest mammals, reptiles, and amphibians.

Your knowledgeable guide will share stories of Costa Rican folklore and of the local agriculture: sugar cane, watermelon, teak trees, and African oil palms. Arriving at the park in the early morning will help you beat the heat and the crowds, and most importantly get you in the park while the animals are the most active. Manuel Antonio is known for the high possibility of viewing the two and three toed sloth, three species of monkeys, and swimming in the calm emerald water surrounded by white sand beach and lush rain forest. On the way downstream, the boat heads along the Estero Guacalillo, a most awesome mangrove ecosystem that features four different species of mangrove trees. In addition to sightseeing, photography and videotaping are permitted. Rafters should be physically fit and ready for adventure. When the tour ends, you’ll be taken to Rancho Los Tucanes, to enjoy our famous gourmet lunch.After that we will take you to Manuel Antonio National Park Once there, our certified and bilingual guides will give a description of natural history. Inside the park there are a variety and abundance of animals that are just waiting to see you, and our guides will be happy to explain the diverse nature of each and every one of them. It is very important to know that the park is host to many endangered species: the Squirrel monkey, which is commonly seen around. Other species of interest are: the Howler monkey, white faced monkey, and agouti, the two and three toed sloth to name a few.

This ½ day tour can be enjoyed in either sit-on-top sea kayaks or outrigger canoes. The kayaks have excellent backrests and tandems and singles are available, the outriggers are perfect if you are large family or have really small kids.
